Hotel energy management with SIMPLUS

Efficiency without effort

The concept of SIMPLUS is straightforward: why consume energy in a room that is not being used?
Using two motion detectors and a simple door contact, the system automatically detects whether a room is occupied or not.
- Arriving: When the entry door is opened and there is movement in the room shortly after, SIMPLUS knows a guest has arrived, and electricity is immediately activated (if not yet on).
- Leaving: When the room door is opened again, but no movement is detected anymore in the room, the system interprets this as the departure of the (last) guest. A few minutes later, lighting, sockets, and HVAC are automatically turned off.
The result is a fully automated process that prevents unnecessary energy consumption, eliminating the need for staff or guests to take any action. Moreover, the investment for the hotel owner is minimal and quickly pays for itself.

​From keycard to smart solution

SIMPLUS offers hotels a smart and affordable way to save energy, enhancing comfort for both guests and operators.

  • With SIMPLUS, the traditional indoor card reader for room power is not needed anymore. Guests no longer need to take action themselves. The system operates completely automatically via two smart motion sensors and a door contact. Misuse of the mechanical card reader or the need for a smart card reader is no longer relevant.
  • Once a guest arrives, the lighting, sockets, and/or HVAC are activated. Everything switches back to off automatically when leaving the room.
  • This way, energy is only consumed when the room is actually in use, leading to a significant reduction in energy consumption. Hotel staff no longer need to manually check whether rooms still have lights, wall sockets or air conditioning on, saving time and avoiding mistakes.
  • Forgetting to deactivate an unoccupied room after a room service (e.g. cleaning) is also a thing of the past. It also means that less training is required for housekeeping staff.
  • Installation is quick and simple thanks to a small central controller that can manage up to sixteen rooms. Moreover, SIMPLUS is modular and expandable, allowing the system to grow with the hotel or be linked to other smart applications, like public area lighting control, etc...
  • Option: central room occupation visualisation and to locate service staff in checked-out rooms.
