Award: The world’s most romantic 5-star hotel
Hotel Heritage, a five star hotel in Bruges city centre belonging to the Relais & Châteaux-group, has been elected ‘the world’s most romantic luxury hotel’ during the 13th edition of the World Luxury Hotel Awards. A wonderful recognition, which also TELETASK is very proud of as the whole hotel has been equipped with our home automation system.
The award ceremony took place at the Arctic Treehouse Hotel in Finnish Lapland in October 2019. Hotel Heritage owes the award to, among other things, its luxurious and romantic appearance, but also to its commitment to corporate social responsibility (its use of recycled materials, energy saving, …). The professional jury also took into account the brand experience, location and the guest reviews.
All comfort and luxury thanks to home automation
The building’s historic interior was restored in detail a few years ago. Business managers Johan and Isabel Creytens opted for TELETASK home automation in order to offer their guests and the hotel staff all possible comfort. The panels in the rooms are easy to use and the central GUI+ software allows a quick and simple room management for the reception staff. Comfort, service and energy management are the key words for this project.
AURUS-OLED in the rooms
Each room is equipped with an exclusive AURUS-OLED touch panel. The touch panel is made of scratch-free and 100% recyclable glass and has a timeless design. The user interface is extremely user friendly, allowing hotel guests to easily control lighting, heating and cooling themselves without any explanation by the staff. As soon as a guest removes his card from the holder, the system switches the devices, lighting and HVAC to a maximum level of energy efficiency.

Hotel management system at the reception desk
In addition to the individual system per room, a central management system, GUI+, was installed at the reception desk. With this system, hotel staff can manage and monitor lighting, heating and cooling. For example, they can switch-on the heating in a room in advance or lower the temperature even before check-out.
In short: the TELETASK home automation offers Hotel Heritage a minimal management cost, a maximum comfort for the hotel guests at an optimal energy consumption. Electro Pyfferoen from Oostkamp, an experienced TELETASK system integrator responsible for several high-level residential and professional projects, provided the complete installation.
About Hotel Heritage
Hotel Heritage is located about fifty meters from Bruges historical centre. It offers 22 hotel rooms and -suites, an adjacent restaurant ‘Le Mystique’, a wellness area and a meeting room. The recent recognition was not its first award: the hotel won nine prizes over the past few years. Earlier in 2019 it was awarded the Expert Choice Award – Best of Bruges and in 2017 and 2018 it was awarded the world’s best boutique hotel. Apart from that hotel heritafe also received the important Green Key label of environmental hotel. A historic hotel with undeniably sustainable goals.
