In order to do correct labour calculations for residential employees like housekeeping or gardeners and for general security reasons, homeowners with a TELETASK domotics system often want to register arrivals and exits. How it works
In order to do correct labour calculations for residential employees like housekeeping or gardeners and for general security reasons, homeowners with a TELETASK domotics system often want to register arrivals and exits. This is also useful for members that access a club house, for example. We have a solution for them: a TELETASK reader TDS12142(PN or GL) paired with an access card or key fob.
The TELETASK access control system memorises a time stamp with every access card use on a TELETASK reader TDS12142(PN or GL). This time stamp is stored in the memory of the central unit, which can export the data by sending an email with a spreadsheet compatible file (csv). The homeowner can determine how frequently he want to receive this report. Mind you, the csv file only contains the time stamps. There is no automatic working hour calculation. This has to be done manually in the spreadsheet by the user.
Entry registration versus exit registration
Registration of who enters the home is easy: people can only get access by using the TELETASK access card/fob. On the other hand, when leaving the home, it is possible to forget the outgoing registration on the reader.
A good solution to avoid that an exit registration is forgotten, is to use a motorised gate. When going out, the garage or street gate has to be closed after leaving, so an extra action with the access card is required. If that is the only way for the employee or visitor to close the gate when leaving, there’s a good chance that there will always be an exit registration in the system memory.
The PORTA application
Another way of checking is the PORTA app, which shows you a list of any access or access attempt in real-time. The only limit with PORTA is that you can only use it on-site because today there is no remote operation like within iSGUI. This feature is planned to become available Q2 2021. PORTA is free of charge, but the new version with additional features for cloud connection will have a paid subscription model.
