TELETASK in a stylish second home on the Belgian coast

A healthy and comfortable indoor climate starts with knowing what is happening in the air. The new TELETASK MULTISENSOR continuously measures air quality and integrates this data with the powerful TELETASK home automation system. Depending on the version selected, the compact sensor measures multiple parameters in the room:

  • temperature
  • humidity
  • VOC
  • CO₂
  • air pressure
  • particulate matter (fine dust).

But the system does more than simply measure and display data. It can actively respond to changing conditions, helping to create a healthier indoor climate, greater comfort through automation and more efficient overall control of your home.

What is the TELETASK MULTISENSOR?

The TELETASK MULTISENSOR combines multiple environmental sensors. This information provides insight into the current conditions in a room and identifies changes in the air quality.

The sensor measurements can be viewed on the display of the TELETASK AURUS-OLED, PENTUS, OPUS and MAIOR control panels, and via the ATMOS app. The sensor’s multicolour indicator LED also continuously shows the overall air quality. Its colour changes from green to yellow, orange or red depending on the measured values and the set limits.

More than measurement: automatically regulating air quality

The strength of the TELETASK MULTISENSOR lies not only in measuring the air quality, but above all, in what the home automation system does with that information. When certain readings exceed a preset threshold, TELETASK can automatically control connected functions.

For example, ventilation will immediately switch to a higher level when air quality deteriorates. Once the readings improve again, ventilation can return to standby or even temporarily switch off completely to save as much energy as possible. TELETASK’s built-in ‘ventilation engine’ system supports this control.

Heating, cooling and other integrated functions can also be controlled based on the measured values and the system configuration. This makes air quality an active part of smart building control, rather than information you can only check after the fact.

This automatic control helps adapt the indoor climate to actual conditions. By adjusting ventilation to current requirements, it can contribute to greater comfort and more efficient energy use.

Three versions for different applications

Not every room has the same requirements. That is why the TELETASK MULTISENSOR is available in three versions: ESSENTIAL, SAFE and PURE. This allows the system integrator to select the right sensors for the room, the measurements required and the application.

MULTISENSOR “ESSENTIAL” version: temperature, humidity and VOC

The ESSENTIAL is the entry-level version and has three sensors:

  • Temperature
  • Relative humidity
  • VOC (volatile organic compounds)

This version is suitable for rooms where insight into temperature, humidity and VOC is sufficient. It is particularly useful in living and working spaces where these parameters are not already measured by other TELETASK interfaces.

MULTISENSOR “SAFE” version: additional monitoring of CO₂ and air pressure

The SAFE version adds CO₂ and air pressure measurement to the three sensors in the ESSENTIAL. This version has five sensors in total:

Temperature

Relative humidity

VOC

CO₂

Air pressure

CO₂ measurement is especially useful in rooms occupied by people and/or pets. Exhalation causes CO₂ levels to rise in an enclosed or unventilated room. When the concentration becomes too high, additional ventilation may be essential. The measured values can therefore be used to adjust ventilation automatically.

This is useful in living rooms, bedrooms, offices, meeting rooms, classrooms and sports halls. The SAFE also helps monitor air quality in other rooms where many people regularly gather, or during a party at home.

The additional air pressure measurement offers further possibilities. For example, those who want to monitor the readings can use them as supplementary information for weather-related applications. With a suitable configuration, the TELETASK system can indicate when certain threshold levels have been reached and may even activate an alarm.

MULTISENSOR “PURE” version: comprehensive air quality monitoring

For the most complete air quality monitoring, choose the PURE version. This version has six sensors and adds particulate matter measurement to all the parameters covered by the SAFE.

The PURE measures:

  • Temperature
  • Relative humidity
  • VOC
  • CO₂
  • Air pressure
  • Particulate matter: PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10

The particulate matter sensor measures airborne particles of different sizes. PM1.0 refers to ultrafine particles with a diameter of up to 1 micrometre, PM2.5 to fine particles of up to 2.5 micrometres, and PM10 to coarser particles of up to 10 micrometres.

This information is a valuable addition to VOC and CO₂ measurements. In the PURE version, these parameters can be used together to assess overall air quality. If one or more readings exceed a set threshold, the system can signal this and respond automatically.

For example, ventilation can be increased when air quality deteriorates and reduced again when conditions improve. The PURE is therefore the most comprehensive version for anyone who wants to monitor different aspects of indoor air within a single integrated system.

From poor air quality to automated actions

The TELETASK MULTISENSOR does more than collect information. Its readings can also be linked to other functions in the home automation system, enabling a wide range of automations.

For example, when air quality deteriorates, the system can:

  • Increase the ventilation speed to replace polluted indoor air with fresh, filtered outdoor air (system D ventilation).
  • Display notifications on the TELETASK control panels.
  • Trigger a technical alarm when critical thresholds are exceeded.
  • Control the lighting to make a particular situation visible.
  • Open motorised windows or roof windows when the installation and configuration allow it.
  • Activate the built-in buzzer and/or other audible alarms to warn occupants when air quality is very poor.

The actions performed depend on the installation and the configuration set by your system integrator. This allows the MULTISENSOR to be tailored to the specific needs of each home or building.

A compact sensor, fully integrated with TELETASK

Despite its range of measurement capabilities, the MULTISENSOR remains compact. Its housing measures just 100 × 100 × 33.7 mm (all versions) and is designed for installation on a flat interior wall.

For representative readings, TELETASK recommends an installation height of approximately 150 cm. Ideally, the sensor should be installed on an interior wall, away from direct exposure to sunlight, heating and cooling elements, and ventilation grilles. This helps minimise the effect of local conditions on the readings.

The sensor connects directly to the TELETASK digital AUTOBUS and is also powered via this connection. The system integrator configures the sensor, tailoring the readings, thresholds and desired actions to the installation.

Which TELETASK MULTISENSOR is right for your project?

Each of the three versions offers a different level of air quality monitoring. The right choice depends on the parameters you want to measure and the automations you want to implement.

ESSENTIAL (TDS12263WH) is suitable when temperature, relative humidity and VOC are sufficient (alternativaly you can also use the AURUR-6 or a TPMEC switch panel, which have the same sensors inside).

SAFE (TDS12265WH) adds CO₂ and air pressure measurement, making it suitable for living spaces, bedrooms, offices and meeting rooms, among others.

PURE (TDS12266WH) offers the most comprehensive measurements, including PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10 particulate matter, for a more complete picture of air quality.

With the TELETASK MULTISENSOR, air quality monitoring becomes an integrated part of home automation. From monitoring various environmental parameters to automatically controlling ventilation and other connected functions, the sensor helps a home or building respond more intelligently to its surroundings.
