Predicting how much you can save with a TELETASK solution is not easy. However, system integration will improve your energy management and savings more than any other method. Without residents having to sacrifice comfort, useless energy consumption is a thing of the past.

Your system automatically activates top energy-consuming appliances when energy costs are low or free, benefiting the environment and community. And your wallet too! However, the system doesn’t just optimise your energy consumption. It also ensures that it limits your peak consumption as much as possible. Those are functions you cannot control manually or with a simple timer.

Thanks to the TELETASK system and its integration with the smart meter and more complex energy systems such as photovoltaic panels, heat pumps, boilers, home batteries, electric vehicles with chargers, etc., residents hardly need to take any action themselves.

When you are not at home, the system will not switch on the heating or cooling system for breakfast either. Similarly, if CO² levels are high, there is no point in immediately activating the heat recovery fans if you are snorkelling at your holiday destination. The alarm system should be active, but the Hifi, TV, coffee machine, Wi-Fi router, and other wall sockets with battery chargers do not need to be powered up.

In this way, energy management automatically includes safety and comfort. The TELETASK system saves energy wherever possible, even when you don't think about it, when you're away, or while sleeping. Or when you’re dreaming of pearly white beaches and a blue ocean!




The TELETASK system offers various possibilities for visualising energy consumption and yield. For example, you can consult the yield of your photovoltaic panels on a keypad or touch screen. Or maybe you want to see how much they produced yesterday, last week, month, or year? No problem. Even graphs are available. You can also consult and adjust just about everything on your smartphone.


More than energy savings


You can also expect a longer lifecycle of lamps and electrical appliances because they will be powered for a shorter time. In addition, the risk of fire through short circuits and overloads is non-existent with a switched-off device. There is even no voltage left on the wiring to the device because all the power switching is done centrally in the electrical distribution board and not at the push button or socket - as is the case for a traditional or wireless-managed electrical installation. TELETASK push-button risks are eliminated as well because they work on an extra-low voltage of 12V (instead of the conventional 110/250V).


Professional use


Smart meter applications are similar to those in the residential sector, although they will produce much bigger savings. We are talking about savings of many Megawatt-hours of consumption per year in many cases. 

Don't forget the extended lifetime of the connected appliances, either, and reduced maintenance and replacement cost as a result. In other words: the return on investment is high. In a 2,000-square-metre building, the savings over 20 years can quickly add up to several tens of thousands of euros, in addition to elevated comfort and safety.

Own consumption


Of course, a TELETASK system also consumes energy. A typical installation in a single-family home will use approximately 20Watt (=175KWh per year, which is around €52 per year at the cost of €0.3/KWh). This number may be higher with large installations, but it’s always relative to the system’s savings.

Due to the 'zero power' relay interfaces of TELETASK (ref. TSD13510), energy consumption remains extremely low compared to many other systems. These interfaces consume virtually no energy in both the on and off positions. They only need a short burst of energy when switching over. Naturally, such an interface costs a little more at the time of purchase than a nonzero-power type, but the customer will recover this after some years.



Future-oriented development


The built-in TELETASK intelligence improves every day, and upgrades are regularly available. Every TELETASK owner can upgrade to the newest software version and therefore stay in sync with the evolution. In addition, the system integrator can continuously adapt to the customer's changing requirements - on-site or remotely (DoIP) over the Internet. Thanks to the existing TELETASK DoIP concept, every TDS home is ready for the future and can be modularly expanded and upgraded if ever needed.
