As a participant in the UCI WorldTour, Lidl-Trek demonstrates that sporting ambition can go hand in hand with innovation, teamwork, and respect for people and the environment.
Behind the scenes: efficiency and collaboration
Success on the road doesn’t come from the riders alone, but also thanks to a close-knit team of coaches, mechanics, and support staff. Everything is planned down to the smallest detail, from training schedules to logistics and equipment. That attention to detail translates into a team that excels in professionalism, sustainability, and collaboration.
Mobile comfort zones with TELETASK
To help riders perform at their best while travelling, Lidl-Trek invested in two modern touring coaches that serve as a mobile base during races across Europe. Both coaches are equipped with the TELETASK home automation system, which centrally controls lighting, blinds, and other functions. This fully optimises comfort and safety on the road and during rest periods.
Smart lighting and flexible scenes
Thanks to the TELETASK system, the lighting is energy-efficient and adjustable. The ATMOS app makes it possible to set different scenes, such as ‘road mode’ at departure, where interior lighting is automatically adjusted, sliding drawers close, and the awning is retracted for safety reasons.
Each rider can adjust his/her personal lighting settings at his/her seat. In relaxation zones, RGBW lighting creates a warm and calming atmosphere. During team briefings, the sports director can easily activate a specific lighting scene that suits the moment.
Hotel mode for rest and relaxation
When the coach is stationary, the driver activates ‘hotel mode’ via ATMOS. This makes it possible to extend the awning, open sliding drawers, and let riders adjust their personal settings via the PENTUS touchscreen, so everyone can unwind in their own way.
Connectivity and remote management
The TELETASK central unit is connected to the TELETASK Cloud, and uses internet via Starlink and a 5G router. This allows functions to be controlled on the move and enables the installer to carry out software updates remotely—making fast, efficient adjustments possible.

The complete interior fit-out and integration of the system in the coaches was professionally carried out by Giovanni Couckhuyt of Inside Decorations in Zwevegem. With an eye for practical functionality and comfort, all components work seamlessly together, tailored to the team’s needs.
