Intelligent control

How is this all achieved?

Suppose that the temperature rises in the summer, because of sunlight coming in. In this case, the home automation system would close the curtains or blinds before it gets too hot inside. This way, the cooling system will only be activated and use energy when it's really needed. If someone opens a window, the temperature settings are automatically adjusted to prevent unnecessary energy consumption.

Is the resident leaving their home? Then they press the button 'leave home', after which the home automation system disconnects electrical appliances that are unnecessarily switched on, and it puts the heating in stand-by mode. This way, the house retains the desired temperature at the lowest possible energy cost. When one of the residents returns home, the climate is once again regulated according to the desired settings when present. This can even vary according to the person. If it is a member of the domestic staff, then this can be different from when a family member returns home.

Meanwhile, the home automation system continuously measures the air quality in the residence. If it is not satisfactory, the system automatically switches on the ventilation system or increases its speed. Air circulation has always been very important, but even more so today, in times of COVID. The heat recovery system heats up the air that enters with the warm air that escapes from the building. An intelligent setting to reduce energy consumption, only when someone is present.

If desired, the residents can also control the indoor climate manually at any time, independently of the preset clock controls. This can be done via touch-sensitive control panels, smartphones, PCs or by voice.
