Explore the new PENTUS OBSCURE

Anyone who installs or specifies high-end home automation knows how important discreet integration is. A control panel must be intuitive, technically reliable and visually in tune with the architecture — without demanding attention when it isn’t needed.
With the PENTUS OBSCURE limited edition, TELETASK introduces a strikingly refined variant of the successful black PENTUS version: the same functionality, but with a uniquely hidden display behind a glass front that, when switched off, shows a warm wood texture in brown or grey. Only when touched does the PENTUS OBSCURE panel “wake”, and its screen appears.

An eye-catcher that’s just as happy to disappear

The character of the PENTUS OBSCURE lies in the contrast: present when you operate it, almost invisible when you live. In standby, you don’t see a black glass plate or a bright display, but a calm, natural wood look that complements contemporary interiors with veneer, natural stone, microtopping or warm metallic accents.

As soon as the user activates the touchscreen, the interface appears just as you expect from TELETASK: clear, well-organised and designed for the day-to-day control of all integrated home functions.

Introduced in Frankfurt

The PENTUS OBSCURE was introduced at the Light + Building trade fair in Frankfurt, where it quickly became a product that home automation specialists worldwide paused to take in. Not because of loud design, but because of craftsmanship: a premium finish that suits projects where every detail is right.

That combination — Belgian build quality, a timeless aesthetic and thoughtful engineering — is exactly what TELETASK has been known for for decades.

How does the hidden display work?

The “obscure” effect is made possible by a new patented display technology. It ensures that, at rest, the display visually disappears and the glass front shows the brown or grey wood finish. Only when the touchscreen is active does the display interface behind it become visible.

An important detail for design and placement: due to an additional ‘bonded’ layer, the brightness is slightly lower than with the standard PENTUS version. In practice, this is perfect for applications without direct sunlight (for example corridors, living areas with indirect light, bedrooms, office and hospitality environments).

Specification and installation advice: avoid locations with prolonged, direct sunlight on the panel to keep readability at its best.

At a glance: PENTUS vs. PENTUS OBSCURE

  • Brown wood: warm, residential, ideal with oak, walnut, earthy tones and soft lighting.
  • Grey wood: clean and architectural, strong in modern homes, minimalist projects and cool materials such as concrete-effect finishes or natural stone.
Both variants retain the same TELETASK signature: discreet, precise and made to remain beautiful for years.

Limited edition: available from April 2026 (limited run)

The PENTUS OBSCURE is a limited edition and will be delivered starting from April 2026, in a limited run and at a slightly higher price than the standard black PENTUS. The OBSCURE version is also a deliberate choice for typical TELETASK projects: intended for projects where exclusivity, finishing and attention to detail are part of the value.
Anyone specifying this type of product knows timing and availability are crucial — especially in project planning. Please bear in mind that we will produce only a limited number of units of this exclusive version.
