The new TDS12287AL wind speed sensor is the successor to the existing TDS12287. This updated version combines a more robust design with improved durability, while maintaining full compatibility and familiar functionality. It is designed for applications where automatic wind protection is essential, such as motorised shading systems and outdoor installations.
Robust aluminium housing
The TDS12287AL features a solid aluminium housing and aluminium cups with high-quality bearings. This ensures increased durability and stable operation, even under demanding weather conditions.
Automatic protection in high wind conditions
The sensor is typically used to automatically retract motorised shades, outdoor awnings, gates, and similar systems when an adjustable wind speed threshold is exceeded. This helps prevent damage caused by strong winds.
Integration with TELETASK systems
Wind speed values can be displayed on TELETASK interfaces such as AURUS OLED, PENTUS, OPUS, and GUI+. In addition, wind data is also available in the ATMOS app for easy monitoring.
Historical data and analysis
When using one or more OPUS touchscreens, users can view historical wind speed data. This includes graphs for today, yesterday, the past week, and the past month. It is also possible to compare current minimum and maximum wind speeds with those from the previous year.
Signal output and safety features
The 3-wire connection and the 4β20 mA output signal remain unchanged. Within PROSOFT, it is still possible to configure an action triggered by a loss of analogue signal, meaning when the signal drops below 4 mA. This can indicate a defect or cable break, for example due to installation damage or maintenance work. This provides an additional safety layer, as missing wind data can create risks for outdoor shading systems during high winds.
